Primary 7-13

Level 2 - Ages 7 and Up

Elevated expectations meet your child as they enter Level 2. Steps previously introduced will evolve and incorporate different positions, patterning, and coordination.

All students are required to bring a single subject spiral notebook to class to notate ballet terminology and practice exercises for homework. Level 2 students will take part in Evaluation classes in April to determine their placement for the following year.

Performance Opportunities: Level 2 students are eligible to participate in the School Spring Performance in May. Children will learn a choreographed dance set to music and perform the completed work on stage at the Kauffman Center. Level 2 students are also eligible to audition for Kansas City Ballet’s The Nutcracker. Acceptance and casting for the production are at the sole discretion of the Artistic Staff of the Kansas City Ballet’s professional company.

Classes for this level meet twice weekly. Please select the section that matches your student’s age.
