The Kansas City Ballet Guild is a community of more than 200 members who show up for KC Ballet — at luncheons, behind the boutique table during Nutcracker, and at the annual Nutcracker Ball. Guild members are Kansas City Ballet’s most visible ambassadors, raising over $500,000 in the 2025–2026 season alone while building real friendships around a shared love of dance.

We invite you to join the Kansas City Ballet Guild as one of the most accessible and rewarding ways to get involved with Kansas City Ballet. Guild-level dues support standard Guild business. Relevé-level dues fund extra support for our company dancers, including sponsoring their attendance at Guild events and providing holiday gifts. Please consider the Relevé level as it lets the Guild do even more for Kansas City Ballet.

Meet the Relevé members

Guild members enjoy special presentations from guest choreographers, musicians, dancers, and Kansas City Ballet staff, including behind-the-scenes looks at upcoming performances and access to pre-performance open rehearsals. Members meet and socialize through monthly membership meetings, a Kick Off Party, three annual luncheons (Fall, Nutcracker, and Spring), and special events like cast and company appreciation gatherings, book club, and movie nights. Guild members also support and maintain the Kansas City Ballet Archives, and all members are encouraged to be season subscribers and attend the annual Nutcracker Ball.

Fundraising

The Guild sponsors two major fundraising events for the Kansas City Ballet each season – the annual Nutcracker Ball and a Gift Boutique at the Kauffman Center. The Guild raised $500,000 for Kansas City Ballet in 2025-2026.

GUILD GIFT BOUTIQUE
In December each year, the Guild sponsors and staffs the Gift Boutique during Kansas City Ballet’s Nutcracker performance run at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. We sell traditional and whimsical Nutcrackers, ballet and Nutcracker-themed ornaments and other Nutcracker-inspired items. Net proceeds go to the Kansas City Ballet.

The Ballet Guild is planning a full year of fun-filled activities and programs for its members to enjoy. All meetings will be at the Todd Bolender Center for Dance & Creativity or a member’s home. Book Club and Movie Nights are back in full swing with many great topics to pique your interest.

Monthly Guild meetings will take place on the 2nd Thursday of each month.

The Guild Archives Fund

The Kansas City Ballet Archives are supported in perpetuity by the Guild Archives Fund. This endowment will ensure that the history of Kansas City Ballet is preserved, documented, and available for future generations to appreciate and learn from.
