The Nutcracker Ball

Join us for the 55th annual gala!

December 3, 2022
The Westin Kansas City at Crown Center

Journey with us to the magical “Land of the Sweets” at Kansas City Ballet Guild’s annual gala, the Nutcracker Ball. We have so much to celebrate: Kansas City Ballet’s 65th season, the Guild’s 55th gala, Executive Director Jeffrey J. Bentley’s 25th season and Artistic Director Devon Carney’s 10th season!

The Westin offers a lovely setting for delicious cuisine, a Land of the Sweets-themed raffle, and after-dinner music and dancing by the local band Lost Wax, featuring singer Eboni.

Proceeds from the Nutcracker Ball provide essential support for Kansas City Ballet. Making outstanding dance experiences accessible to all is a top priority for Kansas City Ballet. Your benefactor gift enables our company to perform beautiful classical and contemporary ballets by gifted choreographers. Your donation also benefits our award-winning Kansas City Ballet School and Kansas City Ballet’s extensive community and in-school educational and engagement programs, which reach more than 20,000 people annually.

In 2022, and under the nine-member Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access (IDEA) Committee, the Kansas City Ballet will be embarking on a deep and thorough examination of its operations, programming and productions to advance KCB’s mission and KCB’s vision for outstanding dance experiences accessible to all.

Presented by Kansas City Ballet Guild

The Kansas City Ballet Guild was formed in 1961 by a group of KCB dancers’ parents to promote interest in and provide financial assistance to the company. Since then, the Guild has been integral to the success of the professional, world-class Kansas City Ballet. More than 170 members strong, these men and women enjoy special educational programming, exclusive access to company dancers, and have a lot of fun! Their activities also raise significant necessary funds for the company’s repertory, its community and educational programs, and the KCB archives.
