Kansas City Ballet reaches students and teachers of all backgrounds and experience levels through in-school lecture demonstrations and specially-priced student matinees.

Kansas City Ballet presents full-length morning performances for schools designed to enhance interdisciplinary learning, integrating dance with English Language Arts, Social Studies, and Music. Students will experience stunning choreography, elaborate sets, beautiful costumes, and the Kansas City Symphony!

ALICE (IN WONDERLAND)

October 17 at 10:30 a.m.
Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, 1601 Broadway, Kansas City, MO 64108

Septime Webre’s ALICE (in wonderland) is a modern reimagining of the beloved classic. This captivating production blends ballet and contemporary dance to bring Lewis Carroll’s iconic characters to life in a fresh, visually stunning way. With vibrant costumes, a whimsical score, and exceptional choreography, it’s an immersive experience for all ages.

Student Matinee Special Rate for Students and Adult Chaperones: $12/each

Public/Private/Charter Schools
For school groups at this special rate, one teacher/adult chaperone is required to accompany every 10 students that attend.

There is a minimum group order of 10.

Homeschools
For homeschool groups, unless you meet the 1:10 chaperone to student ratio, the students will be at the reduced student rate and the adults will be at the adult $54 rate for all Matinees for Schools Performances.

Recommended for 2nd grade and older. Reservations are made on a first-come, first-serve basis. Seating begins at 10:00 a.m.

To reserve seats, please submit ALICE (in wonderland) Order Form.

A 20% deposit is required to secure your reservation, payable by credit card or check. The remaining full payment is due by September 13, 2024. A box office representative will confirm your order and set up payments.

The Story Of ALICE (in wonderland)

Lewis Carroll’s “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” is a whimsical and fantastical tale that follows the curious and adventurous Alice as she falls down a rabbit hole into a surreal world. There, she encounters a host of peculiar characters, including the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat, and the Queen of Hearts. A two-act ballet based on E.T.A. Hoffman’s story. Featuring vibrant costumes, elaborate scenery, and stunning sets, this classic tale tells the timeless story of Clara, the Mouse King, and her Nutcracker Prince.

The Story Of The Nutcracker
