Matinees for Schools offers students and teachers the opportunity to experience Kansas City Ballet performances at a reduced cost. These field trips to the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts enrich education through stunning choreography, beautiful costumes, elaborate sets, and the masterful music of the Kansas City Symphony!
Seat reservations will open in May 2025.

THE NUTCRACKER
December 4 at 10:30 a.m.

The Nutcracker is a two-act ballet based on E.T.A. Hoffmann’s story The Nutcracker and the Mouse King. With vibrant costumes, elaborate sets, and Tchaikovsky’s iconic score, this classic follows Clara on a magical adventure through the Land of Snow and the Kingdom of Sweets.
Students and Adult Chaperone Tickets: $12/each
For school groups at this special rate, one teacher/adult chaperone is required to accompany every 10 students that attend.
Recommended for 2nd grade and older. Reservations are made on a first-come, first-serve basis. Seating begins at 10:00 a.m.

A 20% deposit is required to secure your reservation, payable by credit card or check. The remaining full payment is due by October 31, 2025. Please contact the box office at 816.931.8993 to make your payment.
