The Story Of Romeo & Juliet
The Story Of Romeo & Juliet
In Verona, the long-feuding Montague and Capulet families cause repeated unrest until Prince Escalus threatens severe punishment to restore peace. Romeo and Juliet meet at a Capulet ball and instantly fall in love, secretly marrying with the help of Friar Laurence in hopes of ending the rivalry. Tensions rise when Tybalt challenges Romeo, leading to a confrontation in which Mercutio is fatally wounded and Romeo is banished. Pressured to marry Paris, Juliet follows a risky plan involving a sleeping potion meant to reunite her with Romeo, but a failed message leads to tragic misunderstandings and heartbreaking consequences that ultimately bring their families to reconciliation.
