Naomi Tanioka

Joined KCB in 2019

Naomi Tanioka, of Sapporo, Japan, trained at Chida Toshiko Ballet Studio and the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School in Canada. In 2014, Tanioka joined Ballet Arizona, where she performed many George Balanchine and August Bournonville ballets. She joined Cincinnati Ballet in 2016 before joining Kansas City Ballet in 2019. Tanioka has been featured as Odette/Odile in Swan Lake, Cinderella in Cinderella, Kitri in Don Quixote, Alice in ALICE (in wonderland), Nellie in Jekyll and Hyde, Lucy in Dracula, Wendy in Peter Pan, Cowgirl in Rodeo, Liberty Bell in Stars and Stripes, Principal in Rubies and Jeté Woman in In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated.
