Ballet Workshops

Dance-A-Story

Our 45-minute ballet workshops are specifically designed for Pre-K and early elementary-age children (ages 2-7). These workshops focus on classic ballet stories and literacy. KC Ballet Teaching Artists bring stories to life through creative movement, music, and a ballet show and tell. Great for Preschools and Libraries!

Ballet 101

These 60-minute workshops for community groups and businesses prove that ballet is so much more than layers of tulle and satin shoes. Step away from the stereotypes and learn why the common misconceptions about ballet are bunk. KC Ballet staff can travel to your venue to conduct these workshops.

Dancer for a Day

Community students are invited to experience what the day in the life of a professional dancer  is like. Students follow the schedule of a dancer’s day from morning class, to rehearsal, to costume fittings, to performance.   Appropriate for elementary, middle or high school students.

Location: Todd Bolender Center for Dance & Creativity, home of Kansas City Ballet
