KC Ballet Summer Intensive Curriculum

Take your ballet technique deeper

Summer Intensive provides a deep dive into ballet technique as they prepare you for a career as a professional ballet dancer. Programs are designed to address the individual technical and artistic needs of intermediate and advanced/pre-professional students. Classes are taught by KC Ballet School faculty and guests. Students will attend classes Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturdays 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Todd Bolender Center for Dance and Creativity.

Health and Safety

All KCBS Summer Intensive Classes will take place following KCBS Health and Safety protocols

The protocols are created by Kansas City Ballet’s Health & Safety Task Force in accordance with the advice of medical professionals, national, state and local officials as well as other ballet schools across our nation.

*Please note that guidelines and safety protocol may change based on changes to national, state, and/or local recommendations. Updates will be marked with the date they have been added.

Final Demonstration

On the final day of the program, students demonstrate what they’ve learned throughout their time with the Kansas City Ballet School. Students will showcase their progress in a demonstration on Saturday, July 31, 2021 in the Michael and Ginger Frost Studio Theater.
