Children's Summer Intensive in Kansas City
A two-week ballet and dance experience for students ages 8-12. This program builds young dancer’s strength, confidence, and endurance all while having fun!

Give your young dancer a true summer‑intensive experience—scaled for developing artists and delivered by Kansas City Ballet School’s esteemed faculty, with select classes led by School Director Oliver Till. Held at the Todd Bolender Center for Dance & Creativity in downtown Kansas City.

June 1, 2026 – First day of the Children’s Summer Intensive
June 12, 2026 – Last day of the Children’s Summer Intensive
Curriculum
All dancers will attend class Monday through Friday, 9:00AM-2:15PM. Students will be divided into two levels for classes. Leveling will be determined by age and ability on the first day of the program.

| Non-Refundable Registration Fee | $50.00 |
Deposit and Registration fee due upon registration.
50% of remaining balance will draft on 3/5/2026, final 50% balance will auto draft on 4/5/2026.
50% of tuition payment (not including registration fee and deposit) will be refunded if the student needs to withdraw from the intensive after April 6. No refunds will be issued if a student withdraws after May 4.
For tuition payments not received by the May 4 deadline, a $75 late fee will be charged.
Uniform Requirements
FEMALE IDENTIFYING
- Solid colored leotard
- Pink or flesh toned ballet shoes
- Pink or flesh toned convertible tights
- Jazz shoes (any color)
- Socks for contemporary
- Hair pulled back neatly and secure
- No jewelry or hair accessories. Stud earrings are allowed.
MALE IDENTIFYING
- White short-sleeved t-shirt
- Black bike shorts/leggings
- White ballet shoes with white ankle socks
- Jazz shoes (any color)
- Socks for contemporary
- Hair should be neatly styled and kept out of the face
- No jewelry, accessories or watches. Stud earrings are allowed
FAQs
Will there be a performance?
Students will have an in-studio demonstration for families to show their progress on Friday, June 12.
What to Bring
Please bring a water bottle for hydration. Light snacks are recommended throughout the day. Students need to bring their own lunch for the lunch break. Please plan accordingly, as refrigerator and microwave access will not be available on site.
