Choreographer Maria A. Konrad dedicates her New Moves piece to Donna Konrad🕊️ Her determination in who she was and what she believed lives in this work.
“This work explores the spark of an idea—how it emerges, flickers, and glows. The dancers carry this inner light through movement, density, and stillness, allowing ideas to surface without forcing them. At its core, the piece asks: when a spark appears, do we follow it?” 💬 Maria explains.

We are thrilled to premiere Company Dancer and Choreographer Joseph Boswell’s first dance work at New Moves!🤩
“Ever since I was 16, I dreamed of choreographing a piece to music composed by my father, Samuel Boswell. I was too afraid to try until my father experienced a traumatic brain event, which made me realize how precious time is. Thankfully, he is alive and well. I wanted to make this music come to life and after listening to this music for 23 years, I could feel it in my bones. I hope you feel it too,” 💬 Joseph explains.
