SAVE THE DATE: APRIL 17, 2027

Introducing Kansas City Ballet’s Dance Party!

Big hair, bold neon, and the electric pulse of 1980s New York collide with Kansas City Ballet’s newest tradition. Formerly the annual Soirée, this reimagined dance party throws it back to the era of underground clubs, flashing dance floors, and music that wouldn’t quit, all inspired by Jerome Robbins’ Glass Pieces, part of the three-in-one show PULSE (May 14-23 at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts). The ballet electrifies the stage with hypnotic rhythm and kinetic energy; the party brings that same pulse to the dance floor.

Expect a high-energy night of unforgettable music, light fare, and dynamic performances by Kansas City Ballet’s Second Company to keep the party moving until the very last song.

Proceeds from this event benefit Kansas City Ballet’s Reach Out And Dance (R.O.A.D.) program, bringing free dance education to nearly 1,000 third and fourth graders across Kansas City each year.

Location and ticket on sale date to be announced, so watch this space!

Proceeds from the Dance Party will enable hundreds of  public school students in and around the KC metro area to experience the joy and power of dance during school hours!

This fundraiser benefits KC Ballet’s Reach Out And Dance (R.O.A.D) Program. The program provides free 12-week dance residencies each fall to third grade students in elementary schools in the Kansas City Metro area. R.O.A.D. classes combine dance, live music and academic curriculum to create a fun learning environment for students.

Your gift also provides the R.O.A.D. Scholarship Program with the support it needs to give hundreds of select talented public-school students from these R.O.A.D. residencies the opportunity to continue studying dance at Kansas City Ballet’s facility, tuition- free!
