
Alladson Barreto

Alladson Barreto was born in Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. He began his ballet training in 2015 at the Alberto Maranhão Theater Dance School (EDTAM) in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte. From 2019 to 2022, he danced with Ballet West II in the United States, performing in productions such as The Nutcracker, Giselle, Chant du Rosignol, Dracula, Romeo and Juliet, Diamonds, Glass Pieces, Raymonda, Don Quixote, Divertimento, and Sleeping Beauty.
From 2018 to 2019, Barreto trained at The Rock School in Philadelphia (USA) with a full merit scholarship, where he also appeared as a guest at the Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP). His training included guidance from Bo Spasso, Stephanie Spasso, Justin Allen, Telmo Moreira, Natalya Ziegler, and Jody Anderson.
In 2021, he collaborated with ballerina Kathryn Morgan, performing leading roles together in The Nutcracker for three consecutive years.
Barreto has performed soloist and principal roles in Mark Morris’ The Sandpaper Ballet, Jiří Kylián’s Petite Mort, George Balanchine’s Jewels (Emeralds), Lila York’s Celts, and Devon Carney’s Peter Pan, Cinderella, and The Nutcracker.
Since joining Kansas City Ballet in 2022, his repertoire has included Val Caniparoli’s Jekyll and Hyde, Alexander Ekman’s Cacti, Devon Carney’s Giselle, Septime Webre’s ALICE (in wonderland), among others.
He has also served as a So Danca Ambassador from 2018–2020 and again from 2022–2025.
