Unforgettable Dance Experiences

Ballet field trips offer students a unique opportunity to experience the arts beyond the classroom, enriching their educational journey through live performance. Kansas City Ballet supports this experience by opening our doors at the Bolender Center and Kauffman Center to create meaningful connections between students, our staff, and the world of ballet.

Matinees for Schools

Matinees for Schools offers students and teachers the opportunity to experience Kansas City Ballet performances at a reduced cost. These field trips to the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts enrich education through stunning choreography, beautiful costumes, elaborate sets, and the masterful music of the Kansas City Symphony! To deepen the experience, in-school pre- or post-performance workshops are available to learn more about the ballet.

These sessions include a visit to the Todd Bolender Center for Dance & Creativity, the home of Kansas City Ballet, a brief introduction to the work being rehearsed and the choreographic process, fostering a deeper appreciation for the art form. Open Rehearsals provide an accessible and inspiring way for audiences to connect with ballet and the performers who bring it to life.
