Ballet: An Art and a Science

Time Warner Cable teamed up with actress Emma Dumont (most known for her role on ABC Family’s Bunheads) as well as Kansas City Ballet to promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics) education. Time Warner Cable hosted their 1st annual STEM Expo at Science City at Union Station on September 20 for 4th-12th grade girls. Emma Dumont and Kansas City Ballet’s Second Company (KCB II) demonstrated how dance is not just an art, but also a science. This event is part of Time Warner Cable’s ‘Connect a Million Minds‘ initiative which strives to educate and inspire the next generation of problem solvers through hands-on learning experiences.
