Lauren Holmes

Lauren began her dance training at an early age at the Legacy School of the Arts under the guidance of Michele Hamlett-Weith. She later honed her skills at Kansas City Ballet School, Kansas School of Classical Ballet, and Crescendo Conservatory. While at Crescendo, Lauren discovered her passion for working with individuals with disabilities through her involvement in adaptive dance classes for both children and adults.

Lauren pursued her academic interests at Kansas State University, where she earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Integrative Physiology and Kinesiology. During her time there, she also founded an adaptive dance program, solidifying her commitment to inclusive movement.

Currently, Lauren is pursuing a doctorate in Occupational Therapy at the University of Kansas Medical Center and works for various local disability service providers. She looks forward to returning to Kansas City Ballet School, where she plans to integrate her knowledge of special populations and occupational therapy, ensuring that dance is both accessible and enriching for students of all abilities.
