For the past 5.5 years Robinson was an assistant director, instructor, and enrollment coordinator at Got Rhythm Dance and Performing Arts in Ventura, CA. During her time at Got Rhythm, Robinson cultivated their Toddler Success Formula and choreographed various works in ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip hop, and tap, that were performed all over Ventura County. Outside of her position at Got Rhythm, Robinson attended master classes throughout LA county and performed with an adult contemporary/ hip hop company. Before moving to California, Robinson graduated from the University of Kansas where she studied Dance and Pre-Physical Therapy. At KU, Robinson became a member of the University Dance Company from the fall of 2013 to the spring of 2016. During that time, she performed with Lane Gifford in her piece The Garden: Adam Eve Tree Snake Apple Exit, as well as with Thodos Dance Chicago in the piece Subtle Passages, choreographed by Melissa Thodos. In the Spring of 2016 Robinson travelled to Chicago to perform human, next choreographed by James Moreno for body±New Works in Dance and Technology.  Throughout her time at KU, she also choreographed several dances for solo and ensembles for multiple student choreography showcases as well as co-producing a multi-media show entitled Bliss: A Celebration of Happiness Through the Arts. Prior to attending college, she was a student at the Kansas City Ballet School for 11 years, training under William Whitener, James Jordan, Karen Brown, Tenley Taylor, and Peter Pawlyshyn, just to name a few. Along with attending the Kansas City Ballet School’s summer intensive, she took intensives at Lawrence Arts Center and Interlochen: Center of Creativity. Robinson is currently a professional dancer with Kansas City Dance Collective. She is excited to be back with the Kansas City Ballet School and looks forward to helping make KCBS an even better place.
