Tara Burgat

Tara Burgat is a freelance performer and choreographer in the Kansas City area, most recently seen in West Side Story with the Lyric Opera of Kansas City. Currently, she is on the teaching staff of Johnson County Theatre In the Park and Madison Avenue Performing Arts. Tara has also performed with City In Motion, That’s Entertainment, Point B Dance Company, and several others. Her dance training ranges in all styles from Jazz to Hip Hop, Modern and even Traditional Indian Folk styles. She was highly involved in Theatre growing up which fed into her love of performing and now fosters her passion for building quality performance in aspiring young performers. Above all, her biggest emphasis in any style is the ability to captivate the audience with the story and character at hand.
