Liz Trevino
Jazz/Tap/Ballet/Pilates
Liz was a principal dancer and rehearsal director for the famed Gus Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago from 1991-1994, was an instructor in the School, and was the Administrative Assistant to the company. Also while in Chicago, she was a founding member of the tap company that is now the performing entity of the Chicago Human Rhythm Project. She also danced at Andy Williams’ Moon River Theater, Music Theater of Wichita and James P. Productions. She graduated cum laude and as Outstanding Senior in Dance from Oklahoma City University. After her performing career, she returned to OCU for 6 1/2 years as an Instructor of Dance and choreographed numerous operas for the Oklahoma Opera and Music Theater Company. She then became the Director of Dance and Department Head of Fine Arts at St. Gregory’s University where she stayed for 10 years. Next came 3 years as a Lecturer in Dance at Creighton University in Omaha as well as instructor at Robin Welch Dance Arts. Liz is also a Pilates instructor with training through Balanced Body and Stott and is the Wellness Coordinator/Pilates Instructor at Performance Rehab where she works with many professional dancers. Liz is thrilled to be part of the prestigious faculty at Kansas City Ballet School and is excited to share her knowledge and passion for all forms of dance with all of her students.
