Sweet Partnership with Panache Chocolatier

New for 2021, Kansas City Ballet and Panache Chocolatier have partnered on an exquisite holiday treat: a “Land of the Sweets” 12-piece truffle box.

Inspired by The Nutcracker, this artisanal masterpiece of confectionary delights celebrates iconic characters from the ballet’s “Land of the Sweets”. It also includes sweets and spices from around the world. The packaging incorporates the rich imagery and sumptuous colors related to this favorite KC holiday tradition. KCB Dancer Lilliana Hagerman‘s image graces the box dressed as the Sugar Plum Fairy.

Flavors to Savor

Each artisan truffle is named for a character or dance from Kansas City Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker.

Waltz of the Flowers–Champagne Rose Truffle (2): Rich dark chocolate crafted with champagne infused rose petals, vanilla bean and bergamot. Topped with organic edible rose petals.

Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy–Sugar Plum Truffle (2): Columbian and Belgium chocolates blended with spiced apricots, plums, and hazelnut-infused cream. Topped with iridescent opal sugars.

Mother Ginger–Gingerbread Truffle: Sweet milk chocolate blended with caramel along with infused ginger, nuts, papaya and a hint of pineapple. Topped with grated gingersnap.

Mirliton Dancers–French Macaroon Truffle: Sweet milk and rich dark chocolate blends crafted with infused coconut flakes, almonds and hint of Madagascar vanilla bean. Topped with mixed chocolate curls.

Chinese Tea Dancers–Mandarin Orange Truffle: Sweet Belgium milk chocolate and rich Columbian dark chocolate blended with fresh cream infused with mandarin oranges. Topped with grated orange peel and iridescent sugars.

Spanish Dancers–Almond Shortbread Truffle: Rich dark and sweet milk chocolate with a hint of caramel blended with almond spiced cookies and almond liqueur-infused cream. Topped with crushed shortbread cookies.

Arabian Dancers–Espresso Chai Truffle: Rich dark chocolate blended with espresso and highlighted by spices from chai teas. Topped with freshly ground espresso along with chai spice.

Russian Dancers–Spiced Bergamot Truffle: Orange bergamot notes combined with warm spices and blended into rich dark Columbian chocolate. Topped with warm spices and chocolate drizzle.

Nutcracker–Nutcracker Truffle (2): Infusions of almond and hazelnut liqueurs crafted with rich dark chocolate and blended caramel. Topped with crushed almonds and hazelnuts.
