Celebrating Ann DuBois

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Ann DuBois who retired from Kansas City Ballet School in 2015.

Thoughts of Ann

For more than 19 years, there was no better way to start and end your evening than being greeted by Miss Ann at our South Campus of Kansas City Ballet School at 95th and Nall. She was a constant through the 2002 transition from Somerset Ballet to Kansas City Ballet School.

Her time was so treasured. Her commitment to ballet ran deep. She passed on her love of ballet to her family, who have graduated from our Academy and later taught here as faculty. Her warm smile and special attention for the smallest young dancers to the teachers and staff was second to none. Miss Ann was there with a helping hand and an encouraging word. She knew that your positive experiences in life were magnified by the friendships you built along the way.

She will forever be a part of our Kansas City Ballet family. If we all could find just a little of Miss Ann in ourselves the world would be a better place.
