Alyssa Jones

DANCEFIX

Alyssa Jones has been teaching dance for over 20 years and choreographed pieces for various studios, high school dance teams and show choirs. She is trained in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Musical theater, and Acrobatics.

Alyssa’s performance credits include: Aladdin, A MUSICAL SPECTACULAR (singer/dancer/swing) as an AGVA union performer at Disneyland, Disney’s ELECTRONICA, A CHORUS LINE (Bebe) at the Lewis Family Playhouse, PETER PAN (Tiger Lily), 9 TO 5 (Maria) with 3D Theatricals and WHITE CHRISTMAS (ensemble). National & International Tours: YOUNG AMERICANS (Germany, Luxemburg, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and Japan); Dinner Theater at Traverse City, MI; DRAGON TALES LIVE (Featured dancer) with VEE Corporation, and Season 3 in YO GABBA GABBA (Toodee) on Nick Jr.

As a coach and educator, Alyssa has worked with United Spirit Association (USA) for 8 years as a song/dance head instructor. While working with USA, she assisted for 3 years on the program development for summer spirit/dance camps and judged regional and national competitions. In California, she started a high school dance department where she helped write curriculum, produced musicals, and eventually earned the title Director of Performing Arts while also serving as Spirit Advisor. In that role, Alussa also was Head Coach of a nationally ranked competitive dance/pom team.

Alyssa holds a degree in Psychology with emphasis in Human Development from Vanguard University of Southern California. Since moving to Kansas City Alyssa has co-founded the group KC Warrior Moms of Down Syndrome. She loves bringing community together to help advocate and educate. She resides in Olathe with her husband, Alex, and her two boys of 5 and 8 years old.
