Erin Muenks
Ballet/Adaptive Dance
Erin Muenks grew up dancing at a Kansas City studio where she later taught and choreographed ballet and modern dance. Erin continued her interest in choreography as a student at the University of Missouri- Kansas City Conservatory of Music and Dance, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance and Choreography. Erin’s choreography was awarded a scholarship to the Artist INC program and was featured in A Modern Night at the Folly. She was later chosen as a resident of the Charlotte Street Foundation Urban Culture Project for two consecutive years. Her work has also appeared in the Kansas City Fringe Festival, Kansas City Women’s Chorus concert and with C. Round Ballet Works in California. Erin began teaching dance in high school and has taught ballet and modern to young children in the Kansas City area ever since. After assisting in various special education classrooms for several years, Erin is currently working towards a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education through the University of Kansas. Erin is passionate about making the art of dance accessible to all children and is thrilled to have the support of Kansas City Ballet School!
