On a September Sunday in 1971, following the death of a friend and benefactor Markell Brooks, Loyce Houlton called two dancers into the studio and within three hours, the pas de deux Wingborne was created. It has since become her signature piece and has been performed on international stages.…a lyrical, sublime elegy for a lost friend.
