Choreography: Nebrada
Music: Scriabin
Following the development of a relationship between two lovers, this elegant pas de deux begins slowly and then explodes with passion in its dynamic conclusion. The choreography is set to Scriabin’s Prelude and Nocturne from Two Pieces for the Left Hand Alone, which the composer created while apparently suffering from tendonitis in his right hand. Nebrada chose Scriabin’s best know piano piece, Etude Number 12, Opus 8, for the last section of the pas de deux.
