Everyone has those songs that just get stuck in your head. You just want to tap your feet, bob your head, or even grab a friend to get up and dance. No matter what you do, you just can’t seem to help yourself but feel the beat of the music.

This piece was inspired by the jazzy beat of the music and the idea of having art on art; dancers which are art, moving in a space surrounded by actual art. An experience to bring happiness to all dancing within the piece and all who will be watching.

Ms. Nitting would like to thank Raynor Rubel for his help in the creative process of making this piece.

This work was part of Kansas City Ballet’s New Moves 2021 Series which was presented virtually during the COVID-19 pandemic; premiering one episode online each week. All original works were filmed in beautifully iconic Kansas City locations.
