Artist Conversations

Kansas City Ballet is committed to sharing its joy of dance with everyone, and our artistic conversations are an important component of our mission. Discussions introduce the community-at-large to upcoming ballets, guest choreographers, stagers, and dancers.

KCB Dancer Chats

KC Ballet Dancer Chats, a FREE community engagement and education series, are designed to engage the broader public with the professional dancers of Kansas City Ballet. Moderated by various members of the community, these chats provide a window into professional dancers’ lives, current creative work, and experiences.

All Dancer Chats take place on Facebook LIVE.

Pre-Curtain Talks

Free for all ticketholders, arrive early and hear about the show you are about to see. Learn how music, special effects, and costumes all make magic on stage by attending the pre-curtain talk, the Belger Footnotes Series, hosted by Artistic Director Devon Carney.

Held at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts one hour prior to curtain. No reservation is necessary.

Ballet Tours

The Todd Bolender Center of Dance & Creativity is at the heart of Kansas City Ballet. It’s where we learn from the masters and bond with our peers. We welcome friends and family to join us for tours of the facility, ask questions, and absorb the long, outstanding history of our organization.
