Community Engagement and Education

Pre-Performance Programs

We invite you to observe, participate and engage with us.

Kansas City Ballet is committed to sharing its joy of dance with everyone, and our pre-performance educational programs are an important component of our mission.

Pre-Curtain Talks

Free for all ticketholders, arrive early and hear about the show you are about to see. Learn how music, special effects, and costumes all make magic on stage by attending the pre-curtain talk, the Belger Footnotes Series, hosted by Artistic Director Devon Carney.

Held at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts one hour prior to curtain. No reservation is necessary.

Ballet Tours

The Todd Bolender Center of Dance & Creativity is at the heart of Kansas City Ballet. It’s where we learn from the masters and bond with our peers. We welcome friends and family to join us for tours of the facility, ask questions, and absorb the long, outstanding history of our organization.
