Melissa Ford

Melissa Ford began dancing at the age of 3 and knew early in her childhood she wanted to become a professional dancer. She received training at Kansas City Ballet and private instruction from Christine Colby-Jacques and Lisa Vinzant. Melissa went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Art in Dance Performance from Oklahoma City University where she studied under Robert L. Reed, Liz Trevino, and Lyn Cramer. Melissa’s choreography has won special awards at regional competitions and highlighted on the professional stage. Melissa has traveled the world performing for Royal Caribbean cruise line, Six Flags, and L’Oreal Professional in New York City as a dancer and model. Melissa has taught at dance studios around the Kansas City metro and is thrilled to be a part of the Kansas City Ballet family as faculty.
