Kendra Gage

Physical Therapy

Kendra earned her bachelor’s degree in dance at the University of Kansas in 2003 and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2007 from Washington University in St. Louis. During her clinical rotations, she was able to study under industry leaders in performing arts medicine in New York City where her passion for dance medicine solidified. Prior to settling in Kansas City in 2014, Kendra worked as a physical therapist for Joffrey Ballet Company, Hubbard Street Dance Company, River North Dance Company and many other professional dance companies in the Chicago area. She was also an adjunct faculty member at Roosevelt University as a dance anatomy professor. Currently, she is proud to be the lead physical therapist for Kansas City Ballet. She loves to educate patients of all ages on ways to continue their passions and hobbies, dance or otherwise, throughout their lives. Kendra is committed to lifelong learning in the field; she has earned an orthopedic certification specialty and completed an orthopedic residency with Evidence in Motion. When she is not backstage or in the clinic, you will find her with her husband chasing her 3 children, traveling, or enjoying the outdoors.
