Alexis Byerly

Alexis (Lexie) Byerly began her ballet training at a small studio in Iowa City, Iowa. She attended this studio from elementary through high school along with summer intensives at Joffrey Ballet School (NYC) and Hubbard Street Dance (Chicago). Lexie attended the University of Iowa, where she taught at the University of Iowa Youth Ballet and completed a research practicum in dance history with Dr. Rebekah Kowal, Head of University of Iowa Department of Dance. Following graduation Lexie moved to Nashville, TN where she taught for several years at Nashville Ballet. She then moved to Dallas, TX where she taught at Texas Ballet Theater which included teaching RAD exam curriculum. Lexie is happy to be finally settled in Kansas City and is excited to be teaching at Kansas City Ballet!
