Kansas City Ballet Shares the Power of Dance
Kansas City Ballet provides joyful and meaningful experiences that inspire, inform, and engage the broader community.
Community Programs
Kansas City Ballet is committed to making dance accessible to everyone, from young children to older adults, through engaging workshops, interactive dance demonstrations, discounted theater performances, adult education programs, and rehearsal watches.
Over 20,000 people – from students to working professionals to retirees – benefit from our community programs annually.

Introduce your students to the joy and wonder of dance by joining Kansas City Ballet for one of our Student Matinee performances.

Ballet rehearsal watches offer students a unique opportunity to experience the arts beyond the classroom, enriching their educational journey through live performance. Kansas City Ballet supports this experience by opening our doors at the Bolender Center and Kauffman Center to create meaningful connections between students, our staff, and the world of ballet.

At the Kansas City Ballet, it is our mission to inspire and engage through the beauty, power & passion of dance. We offer educational experiences and workshops for preschool through adulthood, supporting students of all abilities and skill levels. These opportunities are scheduled at your school, community establishment or at one of our Kansas City Ballet campuses.

Kansas City Ballet is thrilled to present a performance of a sensory-friendly Nutcracker on Dec. 4, 2025 for children, families, and adults with sensory sensitivities, autism spectrum disorder, or other special needs.

Reach Out And Dance (R.O.A.D.) is a 12 to 24-week in-school dance residency program for elementary students, taught by professional teaching artists from Kansas City Ballet, to live piano accompaniment.

Dance can be for everyone! KC Ballet School offers a variety of dance classes including Adaptive Dance and Open Division drop-in classes for teens and adults. They can also bring summer dance camps to your community!
