A Kansas City native, Aimee began dancing at Nallia’s School of Dance, and then went on to receive a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from the UMKC Conservatory, studying intensively in Ballet, Modern, and Jazz techniques, as well as choreography composition. Aimee then furthered her training by completing the Broadway Dance Center’s Professional Semester Program in New York City. With a strong background in concert, commercial, and musical theater dance, Aimee has performed works by a diverse range of choreographers including Gary Abbott, Jae-Man Joo, Kendrick Samuels, Katie Walker, Christopher Huggins, Nicole Clarke-Springer, Christina Burton, Dee Anna Hiett, Caroline Dahm, Liat Roth, and Micheal Blake to name a few. Professional credits include Dance Captain and Assistant Choreographer for West Side Story at the White Theater at the J, Disney’s Newsies and The Fabulous Lipitones at New Theater & Restaurant, and Song and Dance at MTH. Aimee also shares her passion for movement and dance through teaching with various companies around the Kansas City area that cater towards different styles, age groups, and overall health. Whether she’s leading a dance exercise class in a retirement home, or educating young dancers in a technique class, Aimee hopes to always share the gift of dance for all to experience.
