Brittany Moss

Brittany Moss is a dance educator, choreographer, and former professional ballet dancer with more than 20 years of teaching experience. She earned her MFA in Dance from Montclair State University and her BFA in Dance from the University of Kansas.

Brittany danced professionally with Utah Metropolitan Ballet from 2000–2006, rising from Apprentice to Principal Dancer. During her professional career, she performed an extensive repertoire of classical and contemporary works, including the Sugar Plum Fairy and Snow Queen in The Nutcracker, Kitri in the Don Quixote Grand Pas de Deux, and George Balanchine’s Serenade.

Her career as an educator has included teaching ballet to students of all ages and levels, as well as  directing her own dance studio in Houston, Texas. She currently teaches throughout the Kansas City area. Her article, “Bridging Ballet and Competition Dance: A Practical Guide for Teachers,” has been accepted for publication in Dance Education in Practice (DEiP).

Brittany is passionate about developing strong classical technique while helping dancers cultivate artistry, musicality, confidence, and a lasting love of dance.
