Jordan Long

Jordan Long, from Charlotte, North Carolina, began his ballet training at Charlotte Ballet Academy. He then joined Houston Ballet Academy’s professional program and Houston Ballet II under the direction of Claudio Muñoz.  

While at Houston Ballet Academy, Long had the opportunity to work with choreographers including Ben Stevenson and Stanton Welch. His performance highlights include Stevenson’s Romance Pas de Deux, Three Preludes, and the Act III Wedding Pas de Deux from The Sleeping Beauty, as well as Welch’s A dance in the Garden of Mirth, Clear and the White Swan Pas de Deux from Act I of Swan Lake. While still with Houston Ballet II, Long also performed with Houston Ballet in Welch’s Cinderella and The Nutcracker. 

During his apprenticeship with Houston Ballet, Long worked with Annabelle Lopez Ochoa and performed her Broken Wings. He continued performing additional works by Welch, including Vi et Animo, Sylvia, and Giselle and performed John Cranko’s Onegin.
