Sydney Ransbury was born in Pleasanton, California. She began her dance training at The Ballet School of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She continued her training at the International Ballet Academy in North Carolina. During her four years there, Ms. Ransbury attended numerous YAGP and ADC Competitions, while also competing in the New York YAGP Finals. In 2018, she joined Orlando Ballet as a trainee under the direction of Robert Hill. The following year, she was promoted to Orlando Ballet’s second company. Ms. Ransbury has danced roles in Robert Hill’s The Nutcracker, Bailamos, Vampire’s Ball, Peter and the Wolf, Arcadian Broad’s Wonderland, and Beauty and the Beast, and additionally Victoria Morgan’s Cinderella. Ms. Ransbury is thrilled to be joining Kansas City Ballet this season.
