Autumn Steed was born in Downers Grove, Illinois and began her pre-professional ballet training at the Academy of Dance Arts under the direction of Sherry Moray and has attended summer programs at Pacific Northwest Ballet, Miami City Ballet, Next Generation Ballet, and Pennsylvania Ballet. Ms. Steed was a 2015 National YoungArts Winner and went on to join Miami City Ballet School’s Pre-Professional Division for two seasons where she performed with Miami City Ballet in George Balanchine’s Walpurgisnaght and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. In 2017, she joined Alabama Ballet as an Apprentice under the direction of Tracey Alvey and Roger VanFleteren and performed soloist roles including Arabian in George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker and The Fairy of Benevolence in The Sleeping Beauty. In 2019, she joined Chicago’s A&A Ballet under the direction of Alexei Kremnev and Anna Reznik and was a guest artist with Chicago Opera Theater in Aleko at the Harris Theater. Ms. Steed is very excited to begin her first season with KCB II.
