Aspen Ross

Aspen started dancing at the tender age of 10 and immediately fell in love, She started her ballet training with Denver Academy of Ballet in Colorado at age 13 with faculty such as Rob and Chandra Kuykendall, Nikoloz Makhatelli, Oleg Dedogryuk, and many more. She spent her high school years assistant teaching dancers from age 3 to age 12 and loves sharing her passion for dance with younger dancers. Along with classes, rehearsals, and assistant teaching, she worked at Dance Xtreme Bodywear during her senior year of high school. As part of the customer service team, Ms. Ross fit all styles of dance shoes and helped dancers look their best for class. She also went through extensive training during her time there to fit pointe shoes on dancers off levels from beginning pointe students to professionals.

She has attended Summer Intensives at the Boston Ballet where she studied at the highest level with Tamara King, The Jillana School where she studied Balanchine at the highest level under Jillana and Katie Martin, and the Kansas City Ballet in their upper levels under Grace Holmes and the rest of the amazing faculty and guest teachers.

She initially fell in love with Kansas City Ballet School during the Summer Intensive program in 2019 and has been spending her summers here ever since. She spent the 2021-2022 Academic Year training under the incredible faculty in the Pre-Professional Daytime Program and had the chance to perform in Devon Carney’s The Nutcracker, Septime Webre’s The Wizard of Oz, and the Kansas City Youth Ballet’s Don Quixote.

Aspen is a proud alumnus of the Kansas City Ballet School and is so excited to share her love for ballet with the next generation of artists at KCBS.
