
Amanda Moder
Ballet
Amanda is honored to teach at the Kansas City Ballet School. Outside of KCBS, she dances professionally with Dramatic Truth Ballet Theatre and VidaDance, is a published, contributing author for Brio Magazine, and works as a registered dietitian. Amanda attends Heartland Community Church, where she is actively involved in creative ministries. Originally from Rochester, Minnesota, Amanda trained with Allegro School of Dance and Music, where she performed many roles including Clara and the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker. In college, Amanda earned a minor in Dance and a minor in Biology along with her Bachelor of Science degree in Community and Medical Dietetics (nutrition). Amanda has performed nationally and internationally through Project Dance, including Project Dance Paris 2016 and Project Dance NYC 2017. She is passionate about the art of dance and its power to deliver messages, tell stories, inspire depth, and affirm identity. She most looks forward to getting to know her students this year and sharing the amazing gift of dance with them.
