Audition Date

March 8, 2014 at the Bolender Center, 500 W. Pershing Rd, Kansas City, MO 
Registration 3:00/ Audition 3:30-5:00
Ages: 10-14
Audition Fee: $25 cash, check or money order
(Fee waived for currently enrolled KCBS students). Audition is required.
Please print and complete the 2014 Junior Intensive Audition Form and bring to audition


Audition Requirements

Please provide two photos: a 4x6 headshot (females hair in bun) and a 4x6 tendu a la seconde. For Females, photos should be taken in a solid colored leotard, pink tights, and hair in ballet bun. For males, photos should be taken in white shirt and black tights.
Students auditioning should not be en pointe.


Curriculum

Students attend class Monday – Friday, 9:00am-4:30pm (June 2-June 27)

Curriculum includes, Ballet technique, Repertoire, Flamenco, Modern, and Jazz

Additional classes: Yoga, Conditioning, Dance History, Stage Acting, Music

Students will showcase their progress in a studio demonstration Friday, June 27 at the Bolender Center (time TBA)

KCBS reserves the right to revise the curriculum as necessary.


Fees

Tuition: $1250
A non-refundable $100 dollar deposit is required to reserve a place in the program.

These deposits are applied toward the total tuition cost.


Housing

KCBS does not offer housing for this program.

Scholarships
Students who are awarded merit scholarships will be notified in their acceptance letter. Deadline for acceptance of merit scholarship is March 18, 2014.

 

Financial Aid
The school offers a limited amount of financial aid for the Summer Intensive. Awards are based on need. Students awarded financial aid will be notified by March 27, 2014.

Deadlines

April 1, 2014 - Registration Forms & Deposit due
May 23, 2014 – Tuition Balance Due

Payments received after May 23 deadline will be subject to a $50 dollar late fee.
