Dancer For A Day
Girls and boys entering first, second, or third grade in Fall 2013 are invited to enroll to be a dancer for a day in the KCB studios. Students will take an age-appropriate dance class with live music, learn a ballet story and create choreography to match the music themes, learn about various types of dance shoes, see Kansas City Ballet dancers at work and discover what happens in KCB’s costume shop.

This in-depth project offers participants an opportunity to attend three arts events which includes Kansas City Ballet performances. Project X members meet the artists and engage in lively discussion about what they saw and learned.
From the drama of love betrayed to the joy of love found, and featuring gorgeous music and exquisite costumes, scenery and lighting, Kansas City Ballet productions have it all. Everyone enjoys this exciting art form, but it helps to know a little bit before you attend a performance. A Kansas City Ballet representative will introduce your group to the extraordinary world of dance. Available for groups of 15 or more.
Four company dancers and a narrator explain and perform excerpts from the Kansas City Ballet repertory. Choose from the following formats:
